RESIDENTIAL KITCHEN BACKSPLASH 2'4" x 2'10" March 2001 This kitchen backsplash is the centerpeice of a residential kitchen, bringing a bit of joy to anyone who dares to wash a dish in front of it. The illustration consists of common kitchen items in a fun, over-exaggerated manner. The colored trim extends the length of the counter in either direction to bring transition and focus to the piece. Materials used in this mosaic include dinner plates, ceramic mugs and glazed tile. Special attention was paid to match textures in the glaze to items in the illustration, such as the lime and fish scales.
